Kip Rodrigue Designs offers clients a diverse knowledge and application of styles: Whether redesigning the period interiors and exterior portico of a 19th century plantation home or designing the interiors of twenty contemporary spaces for a new loft-style condominium development, each project is imbued with his signature aesthetic and passionate attention to detail. Our style at KRD is sophisticated and luxurious, yet also understated and tightly edited, a sort of “sumptuous simplicity.” Born and educated in and around New Orleans, Kip was inspired by that city’s architecturally rich and culturally diverse environment. Graduating from college in the discipline of Art & Architectural History laid the foundation for his appreciation and comprehension of scale, color-theory, and composition: Applicable whether studying a work of art or designing a room. Owning a home-renovation business then taught the more practicable facets of design such as dealing with contractors, architects, and working within an explicit budget and timeframe. These fundamentals, coupled with formal education in the field of Historic Preservation as well as formal training in the study of Decorative Arts and Antiques, give Kip an exceptional insight. His life-long affection for global travel continually helps hone and inspire his overall approach to Interior Design. Created in 2004, with a focus on residential design, the discerning eyes and unpretentious staff at KRD can assist you in realizing your vision, whatever the scope or style of your project. |
